Happy Mother’s Day 2020

Happy Mother’s Day 2020

Happy Mother’s Day 2020 to all mothers whether you a biological, step, adoptive, grand or foster or in law. The qualifier doesn’t matter, the LOVE does. So happy mothers to ALL mom’s making a difference in a child’s life.

This is my 14th Mother’s Day which I am privileged to celebrate and every year comes new milestones, new challenges, daily lessons and more love. Being a mother has taught me so much not just about my squad but about myself and the love I am given and the love I am willing to give. I never thought it was possible to love another being as much I love my squad and to have the ability to love each of them so much.

I grew up in a household where affection was hardly seen, the word love was hardly shown and I grew up believing that adults were never wrong and never had to apologize and with my love language being affectionate and loving as a result I always felt out of place and always said when I am a mom I will not only show my kids love them but to tell them daily. And that’s me.

Not a day goes by without me hugging, kissing and telling my squad just how much I love them. This has allowed them to express themselves emotionally and as a child it is so important to be able to express yourself. I thank God daily for the privilege of being a mom, I don’t take my role lightly and never will I not show gratitude for the gift of life.

Being a mother is not easy whether it is to 1 or 4, it’s not easy. But. Take each day as it comes, enjoy the moments and don’t be afraid to admit when you wrong and apologize to your children this will teach them that everyone makes mistakes and it’s ok, it also teaches them to be responsible for their actions and be accountable.

My biggest goal as a mom is to raise strong, solid, healthy (emotionally, physically and mentally), whole beings. I do not want any of my children to leave home as broken adults. I pray for them daily and I ask God to help me achieve this.

I thank God for entrusting me with 4 wonderful children. I am so honoured and privileged to be the mother of Ethan, Micaiah, Zoe and Eden Phillips. I salute my squad for being such Incredible human beings and for making my motherhood journey such a wonderful one. Without them I would not be.

And lastly without Robert Phillips there would be no squad, thank you my love for choosing me to be your babies mother, our love has created 4 beautiful beings. I love you honey.

To Ethan, Micaiah, Zoe and Eden I love you guys more than you will ever know. I will always be by your side no matter what. We will laugh together, cry together, enjoy sunshine and weather storms. I will always be there for you and I will always be your biggest cheerleader. Always. Mom loves you guys.
