Mrs Remarkable 2018

Yes. Me. Still, can’t believe it.

Mrs Remarkable 2018, 1st runner-up.

A year ago, I entered the pageant and trust me when I say, I did not enter to win it was to just have fun and meet other women. I mean I couldn’t get my walk right, I still practised hours before the show.
By no means am I a model. I don’t walk ramps at all. This was a first for me as a mom, as a wife. But I enjoyed it.
I don’t think the Remarkable team or my church realises the impact it had on me. I mean, I stepped out of my comfort zone and I owned it.

This allowed a shifting in my mind, it showed me that just because I haven’t done something before didn’t necessarily mean I couldn’t do it.

When you are asked to embark unfamiliar territory don’t question yourself, give it your best shot because trust me, you never know…

I met some Incredible people on this journey and the beginning of beautiful friendships.

After the pageant I had women walk up to me saying, Thank you that I inspired them. Some that were part of the pageant said, my spirit kept them going.

And that’s another thing, you never know who needs you.

A year on, Thank you to my Pastor, Pastor Joan Hendricks, Mrs Africa 2018, Lucinda Pietersen and the Remarkable team for impacting my life and for changing my mindset.

A moment, a feeling I would never forget👑💜

There’s doubt in trying…Just do it or stop thinking..

When you go out of your comfort zone and it works, there’s nothing more satisfying.. Kristen Wiig.
